Atlanta, GA – The Libertarian Party of Georgia’s candidates nominees met at the Secretary of the State’s office on Monday, March 2, 2020 to qualify for the 2020 General Election.
A record number of Americans are unhappy with the two long-dominant parties. Millions of independent voters don’t see themselves represented in Republican or Democratic candidates, but the powers-that-be have succeeded in shutting out alternative viewpoints for far too long.
As the state’s largest “political body” (arcane laws recognize only Democrats and Republicans as official parties) the Libertarian Party of Georgia nominates and supports its own slate of candidates for various races. This year’s candidates for elected offices in the State of Georgia include:
- United States Senate(General): Shane Hazel – www.shanehazel.com
- United States Senate(Special): Brian Slowinski
- Georgia Public Service Commission District 1: Elizabeth Melton
- Georgia Public Service Commission District 4: Nathan Wilson
- United States House of Representatives District 13: Martin Cowen – cowenforcongress.com/
Ryan Graham, Chair of the Libertarian Party of Georgia, said, “We are incredibly proud of the slate of candidates we’re fielding in 2020. Shane Hazel, Brian Slowinski, Elizabeth Melton, and Nathan Wilson in state-wide races, and Martin Cowen in District 13 will continue to stand up for the rights of the individual against institutional abuses of power. Their campaigns will offer fresh perspectives on issues important to Georgians.”
