My name is Don Smart, and I ask for your support for Georgia Attorney General. I understand the challenges facing our communities and have the leadership skills to bring about results. I’m a native Georgian, and I’ve lived in the Savannah area for more than 25 years. My wife has taught in our public school system for more than 20 years.
I teach Sunday School at Trinity United Methodist Church, and I am a proven winner who served in the U.S. Marine Corps on active duty from 1975 to 1979 and continued to serve in the reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel until 1999. I hold a bachelors degree from West Georgia College, a law degree from Emory University and an MBA from Duke University. I have served as Chairman of the Chatham-Savannah Citizens Advocacy, President of the Kiwanis Club of Savannah, and Board Member of the Region 13 MHMRSA (Mental Health / Mental Retardation / Substance Abuse). I’m a Board Member of the Coastal Jazz Association and have been active in the local Jaycees.
Thank you for your support.
