It’s official. On Monday, May 12, Bob Barr told a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington that he was seeking the Libertarian Party nomination for President.
When Barr spoke at the Libertarian Party of Georgia state convention on March 1st, there wasn’t any hint of this. Still, many Georgians were excited in early April when Barr established an exploratory committee to determine if he would seek the Libertarian nomination.
Barr joins 14 other Libertarians seeking the party’s nomination. The final word will come from the national convention in Denver on May 25th.
