2010 Convention Details

It’s official! We have confirmed our 2010 convention details.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been asking you to “Save the Date” of April 24th, 2010 in the Georgia Libertarian Online, as we finalized the details for ourconvention. I’m happy to say that I can share more details with you today.

If you saw the earlier announcement via our Twitter or Facebook accounts, I would like to thank you for following or “fan”ing us. If e-mail is your preferred connection to the Libertarian Party of Georgia, I thank you for taking the time to read this today.

To fill in the details for the date I’m sure you all blocked out on your calendars, I can tell you that we will be convening at the Westin Atlanta Airport on Saturday, April 24th at 8 AM and concluding at 9:30 PM that night. The Westin Atlanta Airport is situated near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport at the following address: 4736 Best Road – Atlanta, GA 30337.

We are offering our members four options for attending:

  • Full registration for all convention activities
  • Lunch and the Afternoon Session
  • Afternoon Session and the Evening Banquet
  • Banquet without any sessions

Each of these options will be available until April 21st.

If you are not a member of the Libertarian Party of Georgia, you can sign up online at our website or by clicking here. If you would prefer to mail in a registration form, we will have a link available to that in Monday’s GLO.

If you’ve never attended a Libertarian Party of Georgia convention before, this is where we:

  • Elect officers
  • Elect representatives for the Executive Committee
  • Select our slate of state-wide candidates
  • Vote on proposed by-law changes
  • Get to hear speakers within the liberty movement addressing the issues we care about most

For those of you who are ready to sign up now or BEFORE April 1st, I have a special “Early Bird” pricing option set up online for you. These prices are at a discount for current members of the party ONLY, and once the clock strikes midnight on the evening of March 31st, these pricing options will be gone.

Don’t forget that you need to be a current member of the Libertarian Party of Georgia prior to the opening gavel to participate in party business.
